Service Department - Shop Rates

ATTENTION:

We are forced to institute a new policy whereby we repair ONLY SCOOTERS THAT WE DECIDE ARE WORTH our time and your money. If you bought a cheap scooter, you bought a disposable one, and one you putz with yourself. We are a private, for profit company, and loosing money trying to keep your kids toys working is simply no longer an option.

Please contact the Manufacturer, or the Manufacturer's US Distributor for parts. company policy!!

WE ARE NOT A TOY REPAIR SHOP!! If you paid less than $500 for it new, it's generally not worth our time or your money to repair - unless it's a flat tire, batteries need replacing, etc. Repairs made at OUR DISCRETION AND YOU WILL PAY THE GOING RATE FOR OUR TECHNICIAN'S TIME.

If you value the enormous all around savings of your electric scooter, and know how much you have still saved over having an equivalent job done on your car, and know that it's so laughably worth it to pay us to keep a good thing going, then we will repair anything you want to keep in service. Straight with us, straight with you.

If your vehicle is seated, for mobility or for REAL TRANSPORTATION, WE WILL ASSESS IT AND DECIDE IF IT IS WORTH REPAIRING.

Additionally, even with a seat, if your scooter looks even remotely like this:

you bought a low cost generic scooter that is not worth our time or your money to repair. It is imported and labeled by the various importers as the: X-treme, Boreem, American Flyer, Scoot-n-Go, Azkan, Dolphin, Sunshine, and BMX scooter to name a few. WE WILL NOT FIX OR EVEN CONSIDER USING OUR TIME AND SHOP SPACE WITH THESE DISPOSABLE SCOOTERS! You got what you paid for.

We are sorry if the Bush economy has adversely affected your life, but we are Caucasian Americans, not third world citizens. You want, yea demand, a living wage, and yet too many of our customers have failed to honor our work with the same consideration. This site is rated general audiences, but you know by this notice, just how we feel about doing those jobs for you, and getting attitude about the cost of our services. There is no minimum wage for the self-employed and we have taken all the losses we are going to take, done our public service long enough.

If and when a [persons who will do the job] comes along, we will be happy to forward their information along to you. Or any new scooter business that is [willing] to take on any job that comes along. We will no longer do that. We mean it. Don't call or stop by with it. Forget it. Ok? You are hereby warned.

We are an authorized Currie Technologies, and Dart Electrics repair center. All other repairs are at our discretion.

Repairs on electric bikes and scooters, and human powered bikes only. We do not work on gas powered vehicles of any kind.

Repairs are made at our discretion (your not going to want to pay $60 per for a scooter you bought at a garage sale for $30, so please don’t ask us to.)

Shop Rate: $60 hr - 1/2hr minimum (Now payable at drop-off)

thereafter billed in 15 minute increments. $30 Estimate fee applied to any work performed. all Work guaranteed - Parts certified by suppliers.

Fixed fees for labor (parts extra):

Basic Diagnostics (check batteries, chain, wheels, brakes and basic scooter function): shop min.

New Wheel Replacement (hub & Rim only) Front: Remove old wheel and replace with new whole wheel assembly with new tire, tube, brake - drum or disk - and sprocket (Labor only - parts extra or you provide).

New Wheel Replacement (hub & Rim only) Front: Remove old wheel and replace with new whole wheel assembly and swap over your existing old tire & tube (Labor only - parts, and lacing if needed, are extra).

New Wheel Replacement (hub & Rim only) Rear: Remove old wheel and replace with new whole wheel assembly with new tire, tube, brake - drum or disk - and sprocket (Labor only - parts extra or you provide).

Warranty Repairs

Read your product warranty carefully! Most warranties DO NOT INCLUDE LABOR.

If any supplier of ours supports warranty labor, it is the customer's responsibility to pay for any labor incurred at the time the repaired unit is picked up. For more information please click here.

We warranty our own work for 30 days. This covers ONLY the work we have performed and DOES NOT affect any other part or system that may go out within that time. This seems obvious, but you would be surprised...

If you mess with it during our warranty period, you will void your warranty. We have become quite adept at machine forensics. We have way of knowing what went down. If you mess with it and play dumb, you will be asked to leave. Experiment at your own risk.

Abandoned Equipment

Any bike or scooter left in the shop beyond 30 days after notification of work completed, having made several attempts to contact the customer, and we do not hear from you, the equipment in for repair shall be deemed abandoned and either sold, parted, or disposed of accordingly to offset the costs of repairs completed and/or storage.

Rather than dump it on us, let us offer you something in trade for a new scooter if you can't justify the repair costs. Please, we don't have the room for a scooter graveyard!! Thank you.
