This page was designed for new Members.  As the company takes on new Members this site was designed to orient and familiarize them with company information and procedures.

Anyone looking into entrepreneurial directions knows the failure rate of new businesses.  Are you willing to take the chance?  We have gotten Scoot On This! LLC through the hardest part of any business, and now all you have to do is get behind the wheel and run with it!  We have beat the odds, established a name and a national presence, organized the set up and operations of the company.  It's a turn-key business that has great potential for future earnings.  No legitimate business makes a profit in the first few years, and we have gotten you through that period too by providing the manpower to keep it going when it could not afford staff.  Anyone looking at getting into the light electric business would be a fool to turn down a ready to go, ready to make a profit business like this. 

Here is what you Don't get:

• The computers.  You will receive all of the data from the company, but the computers are also filled with years of personal use.  Jon custom built them and we do not wish to part with them when they are easily replaced by newer and better machines.
• Any personal tools as best they can be determined that were allowed use by the company as necessary for repairs and assemblies.  As long as we have a working set of household tools we are not going to quibble.

Grant for SOT

We are currently in the process of applying for a Grant to explore the ability to manufacture a hub motor here in Portland.  This could be done more timely, but Jon is so busy that he really needs some help.  If you would like to earn some extra Membership Units and have the time to help, please contact Jon and let him know.

Meeting Agenda

The following are some issues regarding the direction of the company that should be decided by a general agreement of the Members.  If you have any other issues to add, please contact Jon.

1.  Funds from Membership Drive:

Decide which Vendor/Project should be funded. (See #3 below)

2.  Service Department:

Decide whether, or how to, continue to provide service to our customers.  Since the beginning of the books (2004) the company has paid out $19,972.67 MORE than was taken in from Service Labor income!  The loss (on service department operations) for this year to date is already $4,463.42 as of 5/24/07!  However, we must recognize that the technicians do more than just repair work.  They set up new scooters, work with customers, and help set up and strike the set every day. 

3.  Hub Motor Kits:

We have an opportunity to beat the pants off the competition in the hub motor market.  As you might see, our sales have declined as a reflection of our discontinuance of the Crystalyte and Wilderness Energy Hub Motor Kits.  Reasons will be discussed in the meeting.

We have a new supplier in China, but our initial order will require about 5K.  We hope that the additional Memberships and the capital they provide, can finance this endeavor.  Or find another product as popular as they were (are).
