"What we sell is alternative transportation for the urban commuter. Our scooters are powerful, capable machines that will get you there and back
without all the hassles of a car or bus. We can show you how to utilize these scooters in ways that extend their capabilities to add even more usefulness
for longer trips or hilly terrains. Most of us will never give up the big hauling machine we call the 'car', but
we don't always need to use the car for short errands or outings.
Our scooters and bikes will get you there and back in comfort, style, and a range and power performance that
should put these work-horses at the top of the transportation budget." - Jonny Electron

Scoot On This! LLC is
proud to announce its merger with the Electric Bike Guy.
Negotiations with the
Electric Bike Guy LLC (www.electricbikeguy.com)
has resulted in the merger of the two companies. Our combined
skills and resources promise to provide more products and services for
all our customers across the U.S.
With the addition of the
Electric Bike Guy LLC, Scoot On This! LLC will focus it's products and
support on scooters - recreational, and re-introducing the Shoprider
line of mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs - while the Electric
Bike Guy LLC will be our electric bike site, focusing on bikes, and the
support of bikes, as a separate group of Light Electric Vehicles.
While all our products
remain bike lane legal, with our new resources, contacts, and individual
Member skills, we hope to soon expand into the next class of FULLY
ELECTRIC VEHICLES, the NEV (Neighborhood Electric Vehicles).
Please come visit both our
web sites to see the new changes, and the new products we will be
bringing to you. We are happy to open our doors, virtual or B&M,

Prices will never be lower!
While we we do not believe in price wars - they only hurt everyone
trying to make a living selling Light Electric Vehicles, and keeps the
industry limited to mail order, we are sharing our success with you
through the Holidays. We are adding incentives to all of our bike
and scooter lines, with choices of freebies like fenders, rain gear,
racks, lights, etc.
THE GRINCH WHO STOLE AN INDUSTRY:
There is only one sin, and it is
greed. All others are variations on a theme.
Hyper-competition by some short-sited kids out there, using sleazy marketing practices and
consistently undercutting the smaller start-up businesses, is stealing
the future of LEVs. This is why there are no shops like ours in a town near you, because of prices
that leave them no way to survive (the
failure rate for traditional bike shops is about 75%,
according to the National Bicycle Dealers Association, and Light
Electric Vehicle dealers are probably closer to 85 - 90 percent failure
rate among new businesses) are not only hurting the expansion of local
full service shops, but also injuring the entire LEV industry.
So to keep our customers and our staff warm (at least on the inside...) during these slow winter months,
we offer you our best prices of the year.

Think
Big - Drive
Small* |
|
*JUST FOR THE RECORD!
SOT
has been using the slogan "Thing Big, Drive Small" since the summer
of 2005.
Suzuki has just started running television ads where
at the end, the announcer says, "Live Large, Drive Small".
Great
minds may think alike and It's not surprising that similar ideas do
arise given a similar cultural experience. Or did some Ad
Writer get lazy? Or just know a good slogan when he saw one -
like
ours, perhaps? So just for the record, we came up
with our slogan 3 years before Suzuki did!!! |
Size Does Matter!
A
3,000 lb vehicle
1
to carry around a 200 lb person!?
Is
this energy efficiency? Are you kidding? It takes 14
times as much energy to haul around the automobile as it does the
passenger!
Break the
mind-set! Come into the light. Light electric
transportation.
Tanks for
Transportation? Not cool. Except as a last resort, or in emergencies.
Rent one when you go visit the folks across country. It's nice to
live like a queen and get hauled around in a hundred or more horsed
carriage. But la de da, some of us are more practical and
concerned for the consequences of "our" actions. For us, there is
Light Electrics.
Just driving electric is not enough: most of the country gets it's
electricity to charge that monster vehicle from
coal - which is NOT Clean, though it
may be abundant and thus a potential domestic source of energy.
Why do you think you need to ride in a carriage that, even the
electrics, are using more energy to move it around than
yourself? How many
horses do you
need? One hundred horses? One hundred and fifty horses?
Understand this: competitive means efficient. Those who are
following current events know that, like it or not, we are in an open
and global environment now. As Mayor Giuliani pointed out in
reference to the financial success of New York under his command,
competition is the key. Spending 14 or more times the energy on
moving the vehicle over the rider is not competitive.
What are you going to do? Ride like a queen in her carriage, or
sit high and proud on your one horse noble (electric) steed? Electric power
is the next
generation, and smaller is better. One less gallon of gas burned,
and one less watt consumed is one minute of life
for our increasingly fragile ecosystem. [MORE]

Customer Feedback:
Besides giving a great testimonial, our customer Keyth has done some
customizing that we would like to share. Funny that the 2008
HG-1000 is coming out in black and orange instead of the eye popping
safety orange...
Here is Keth's letter:
Hey Jon,
It's been a few months, and I just wanted to catch up and let you
know I LOVE my bike. I barely ever use the car these days, and
everybody asks me all about it. I've sent a good many people your
way; I hope they buy from you!
Anyway, I told you the orange paint job on the HG-1000 bugged me,
and so I did something about it. Attached you'll find pics of my
bike the way it looks today. It's a work in progress, but I think it
looks great and once I get some silver or purple chrome detailing on
it, it's going to be the coolest bike in town.

Nature IS beautiful.
See it. Love it.
How Long does it take you to
commute? Twenty minutes? How many times have you seen a
cyclist keeping up with you in traffic, sometimes even getting ahead of
you? It's not how much horsepower you have that influences the
time it takes to get where you are going in most urban environments.
It's traffic flow, congestion, peak hours, etc.
Now you can get there in the same amount of time, yet be free to see and
enjoy the natural world that you are helping to preserve. Is
that reason enough to feel good about going electric?
