Set-up and inspection of your
electric bike, scooter, or conversion kit:
- Complete assembly of your bike, scooter, or conversion kit
- Check electrical system
- Check signals and lights
- Inflate tires to proper inflation
- Adjust chain or belt (if applicable)
- Adjust throttle (if necessary -
This seems strange on a new bike, but we have received, very rarely, bikes
with throttles that were too tight and did not snap back into the "off"
position, which could have resulted in a safety hazard if not caught
immediately. If you waive our set-up, please examine and test your
bike carefully BEFORE you take it on the road!)
- Run the unit under normal conditions to
assure that the unit is fully operational
Fees for set-up vary according to the product, as some are easier than
others. Please check the product detail for references to
set-up charges. No set-up charge shown does not mean there is
not one, it just means the webmaster is behind in his duties, one
has not been established yet, or a simple error was made.

receive this service but no price is showing.
While you may wish to waive this service1 and get your
scooter in its original from-the-factory condition and assemble
yourself, we highly recommend that your bike be opened and inspected
in our Portland facility before being shipped or picked up.
These bikes are meant to last, trouble free and safely, for many
years. Unless you are well versed in bike repair, electronics, and
general mechanics,
we recommend letting us assemble/inspect your scooter for optimal safety and
ease of operation. We cannot guarantee that we might not miss
something, it's still that much closer to preventing potential
problems.

Full service delivery (within the Portland, Oregon Tri-met area) including :
We offer delivery to the Portland Tri-Met area. Fees vary
depending on how far our driver has to travel. Prices range
from $30 - $60. We hope to have a map up shortly that will
detail the delivery cost per area.

Shipping:
DELIVERY DAY CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES -
It is vital that any visible damage to the package be noted
by the driver at the time of delivery on his little hand held computer, in order for
any shipping damage claim to be filed. If you discover
shipping related damage after the driver has gone, contact UPS
immediately to report the damage. Make detailed notes of the
damage or take photographs. Without these simple steps UPS MAY
REJECT YOUR CLAIM FOR SHIPPING RELATED DAMAGES even if the fault is
clear. This is your responsibility. We will provide
whatever information about your product to assist your claim should
one be necessary. For more information see our

Estimated Maximum
The estimated maximum shipping charges are based on
the farthest shipping point in the country, and are thus the maximum
that could be incurred. We pay your shipping for you, and pass
that bill onto you on your SOT or PayPal Invoice. The closer
you live to the west coast, the lower your shipping charges will be.
Savings will be reflected in your final PayPal Invoice during check
out, or when we bill you directly from a custom quote.
Multiple Items
Individual items shipping costs are overridden to
lowest calculated shipping when ordering multiple items.
Actual shipping amount will be lower than the cumulative of each
item - See Box "Pay Pal's Shipping System" below.
Responsibility
SHIPPING COSTS ARE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER. Under no
circumstances will shipping costs be returned or refunded including
returns of goods for any reason. We pay for shipping and you pay
us back. No refunds or returns on non-good items like shipping or
other services we may provide on your behalf.
Customers of large (size or weight) scooters, bikes, or bike kits may
be billed for any additional shipping (As billed to Scoot On This!
LLC by the carrier - no handling or other fees are added) in excess
of standard shipping rates posted on our site due to the heavy boxes
and odd size cartons. Inspection of shipping invoice upon
request.

Pay Pal's Shipping
System has been improved so that we
can calculate the best shipping prices
available based on standard shipping factors such as
location and product weight; something it could not do prior
or 2007.
The new system is, however, more complex and
will require some major reprogramming of our custom web site
(this will not affect our conventional (packaged)
storefront), as each and every button will need to be changed
to reflect the new shipping functions.

Shipping prices can now override individual item
shipping rates at check out so that you don't pay all
the individual shipping amounts as you buy more items -
this is processed at time of check out.

Shipping prices can now be based on weight instead of
value - the two are not always commensurable.

Shipping prices are determined by geographic area - a
long overdue feature!

fails out of the box, we will assist in every way to meet or exceed
manufacture's warranty. If the product needs to be returned to us, you

Refunds: All Transactions are refundable
within 3 days after receipt of unit, with proof of purchase, providing no damage
to the unit has occurred as a result of operator error or incorrect set-up of
components or wiring (should you choose to set-up the unit yourself). All
refunds are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Warranty: Does NOT include labor except at the manufacturers discretion.
